Ball marks are little "craters" in the green caused by the impact of a spinning golf ball when taylormade r9 fairway wood lands on the green. You should usually repair your ball mark when you get towards the green. A correctly repaired ball mark will start expanding grass in a day whereas an unrepaired ball mark will take ten days before grass will begin to grow in r9 fairway wood.
